• Driving - left hand side, advisable to hire a car as many places of interest are found in remote areas. Roads comply with international traffic requirements, though minor roads and forest roads are largely unsurfaced but in fair condition. Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited whilst driving, use of seat belts is complusary. Children under five must not be seated in the front of the vehicle under any circumstances. Children aged 5-10 are only permitted in the front passenger seat with an appropriate child's seat belt fitted.
  It is strongly advisable to wear sunglasses whilst driving.
